The future of sustainable leather & a master's thesis from Esmod Berlin
Sustainable Leather Futures
Design & Material Innovation
We are proud to report on the successful master's thesis that we were able to support at the Esmod Berlin fashion school.
The work deals with sustainability issues in the leather industry and supports companies in their attempts to operate more sustainably with a concrete solution approach.
The aim of the work is to apply the principles of sustainability to all levels of the business – starting with the design process, through production to the marketing of the leather goods.
As part of this work, a novel concept called "Next Generation Pattern" and a capsule collection were developed in collaboration. The collection features a sophisticated and timeless design and is designed to extend the product lifecycle.
We are particularly pleased about this successful collaboration because, as in the past, we are committed to the sustainability of our products and would like to support the next generation in this endeavor.
